Some of The Visitors to the GF2009
Nottingham Gaussfest 2010
Nottingham Gaussfest 2010
Dave brought his Small Marx
That gave 130Kv arcs
Powered by two large CW multipliers from mains
Daves Cap bank dinted some cans..
With possibly the most complex control system ever seen in a cap bank
If you need a can with a waist see Dave
A collection of Derek's Small DRSSTC's and laptop control
A collection of Derek's NOAH DRSSTC's with new control system
A small 1.5" tall bi-polar coil
The inside of the smallest Battery Powered DRSSTC in the world !!
Earl at his Magnifier's controls
Giving Good sparks as usual
More power into the Hall Roof
Running really smoothly
Running really smoothly
Until his rotary became bigger that it was before!!
Jasons 1Kw DC charging Tesla Coil
Gave a great display
Jason at the controls
The whole coil and rotary
Karim brought a couple of DRSSTC's
And perswaded a couple
Of the Visitors to play the gituar
and keyboard through them
Karim also brought a Solid State Jacobs ladder
Which ran flawlessley throughout the day
Phil Tuck Arrived and started to build his coil
assisted by Phil Strauss
On a ground plane of chicken wire
His coil performed
Very Well
Both to air
and to a breakout
Until a secondary Strike hit
but removing a couple of turns and cleaning
Put it back into action
Untill his rotary controller died
from a failed capacitor
Which was quickly replaced and he went fishing for sparks
and put more power in to the roof
and acheived a 6' (almost direct) strike

With large 4' Arcs
Phill Tuck brought his newly rebuilt Tesla Coil
which appeared to have cought something nasty
but has a very well built rotary and cap bank
Phillip Strauss takes a rest whilst watching Phil Build his coil
Which ran very well
Which ran with some loud bangs
From his new cap bank
but large arcs to ground and the roof
The cap bank eventually broke down and burnt some insulation
Which was fixed with some silicon tubing
and Phill was back on line
With even more power from a 24mH choke from Phillip
Which actually was 17mH (loads more power)
Chris lent his fluorescents as a strike pole
which wasnt too well earthed
A new tesla coil made out of fluorescent green acrylic
A really nice looking coil
That works too
